SUMMARY

Factory MG B GT V8, within a family-owned Collection for many years and now offered without Reserve.

DESCRIPTION

  • The light, all-aluminium Rover V8 transformed MG’s Pininfarina-penned GT into a potent mini E-Type. Just 2,591 were built and are much sought after today as they are a versatile classic perfect for road trips, touring and classic car rallies
  • Powered by the 3.5-litre all-alloy Rover V8 engine, fed by twin SU carburettors and producing around 137bhp, coupled to a 4-speed all-synchromesh manual transmission with overdrive
  • Finished in Damask Red over black interior, it is believed this vehicle was subject to an older restoration
  • Little is known about the car's history prior to 2010 when it was added to our vendor's private Collection and has covered very little mileage since, although it is recorded as having been involved in an accident in 1987
  • Supplied with an MG B V8 workshop manual, drivers handbook, previous MOTs and a number of invoices
  • Dry stored, maintained and occasionally started and run in the 18 months since our vendor's husband's passing, however some recommissioning may be required before regular use
