According to the Ferrari Classiche Certification that accompanies this superb Dino 246 GTS, it was delivered new through Automobile Specialists Pte Ltd. in Singapore to its first owner, the Sultan of Pahang, finished in the rare and head turning shade of Nocciola Metallizzato (Hazelnut Metallic) with a Pelle Nera interior. This is one Dino that stands out from the crowd, confirmed by its attendance at the Dino’s 50th Anniversary celebrations at Maranello in 2018 and underlined by it being the only Nocciola example on display that day.  By the time it arrived with its present custodian, after a spell with a Malaysian airline pilot, a colour change had been carried out and with restoration in mind the decision was taken to return this desirable Ferrari back to its original colour combination. Extensive works and then some, were carried out at great expense by John Pogson of Italia Motorsport in Holmfirth, not only was great attention paid to the now stunning bodywork but also to all mechanical aspects of the car including the engine, gearbox, suspension, braking, steering and wiring, with real attention to detail throughout the process. The original interior was deemed too good to restore, however careful attention was still employed to ensure that the lovingly acquired patina from years of considered ownership remained. Upon completion, Classiche Certification was issued confirming that this particular outstanding factory ‘flares’ Dino is a matching numbers example and a very rare right hand drive GTS at that, making this an opportunity not to be missed for the discerning Ferrari collector.
