SUMMARY
A stunning RS2000 Mk1 emerging from a four year restoration with the emphasis on originality.
DESCRIPTION
- Produced from October 1973 through to December 1974, this is one of just 3,500 UK-supplied AVO cars built by Ford at their Aveley plant
- It's an impressive restoration with the emphasis on presenting the car as a 'showroom fresh' standard-production example
- Superbly finished in Daytona Yellow with the correct black cloth RS interior by Aldridge Trimmers
- Fitted with the correct 2-litre OHC, 100bhp four-cylinder, fully overhauled as was the gearbox
- Built with great attention to detail with many new OEM panels and refinished in Daytona Yellow after finding it in red with a black vinyl roof
- All the suspension, braking, fuel lines and tank have been replaced leaving nothing to chance and a refreshed set of instruments confirm the car has covered a mere 250-odd miles since being returned to the road at the end of 2023
- Fully inspected by the AVO Owners Club Registrar to confirm its authenticity, matching numbers, including the optional wood trim and 6J Ford RS Alloy road wheels with 175/60 tyres
- Supplied with full photographic evidence of the build and a host of invoices for the parts purchased, this represents a rare opportunity to own a standard restored example for the purists amongst us
