SUMMARY
Andrew Grimshaw-designed space-frame with 3.9-litre Rover V8 motivation and striking 'Countach' homage bodywork by Dave Forsyth.
DESCRIPTION
- Andrew Grimshaw founded the company in Wigan in 1986 and began producing automobiles and kits with Dave Forsyth, who previously worked for Kingfisher Mouldings. The brand name was GB and production ended in 1988
- There was only one model on offer, the 500 S, a replica of the Lamborghini Countach with a spaceframe and GRP body by Dave Forsyth
- This example appears to be a well-engineered homage with rear lights and panel from the Countach 25th Anniversary
- Motivation is provided by a Rover 3.9-litre V8 coupled to a Renault 30 5-speed gearbox
- Originally white we believe, but now finished in Graphite Grey and sits on Compomotive split-rim alloys
- Very smart interior in Ivory piped in black and fitted with a 5" colour display and a carbon switch panel
- It participated in the well known Gumball 3000 rally in 2023 and still wears the graphics
- Little is known about this vehicle prior to 2000 although, since then, it's had two long term keepers and is supplied with some older MOTs and invoices from this time
- As it's now over 40-years old, it's tax and MOT-exempt
- In need of a little TLC, although with some time and love, there's probably no better way to turn heads
