DESCRIPTION
Chevron Cars Ltd.was founded by the late British engineer, Derek Bennett, in 1965 and became famous for producing world class Formula 2, Formula 5000 and sports racing cars over many years. He was particularly successful at building Group 4/5 sports racing cars featuring two litre BMW, Ford and Hart engines which competed and won Internationally with famed Works drivers of the day such as Brian Redman.
This particular Chevron B31 two-litre sports racing car won the HSCC Martini Sportscar Trophy as recently as 2013 when driven by the very rapid James Dodd taking four outright wins in the '13 series. The car has been professionally maintained during the Dodd family ownership and comes to the sale refreshed and ready to race.
The car has been well developed during their ownership and the 'Anderson Racing' Hart 420R, coupled to a J and P Hewland FG 400 transaxle are both recently rebuilt. The car is a consistent front runner and is well known for being both reliable and highly competitive. It has current FIA HTP and HSCC papers and would be both welcome, and a front runner, in the HSCC Pre 1980 Endurance series. A spares package including a set of wheels, wishbones and dampers are included.

Our transport partners, EM Rogers, can assist with collection and delivery. Please contact them on

Any cars not collected by 3pm on Monday 2nd August will be taken to our EM Rogers storage facility in
Northampton for a fee of £150 plus VAT. Storage will be charged at £10 plus VAT per day from Monday 2nd August onwards.
Motorcycles
Our motorcycle transport partners, Moving Motorcycles, can assist with collection and delivery.

Any motorcycles not collected by 3pm on Monday 2nd August will be taken to our transport partners facility in Northamptonshire for a
fee of £110 plus VAT, including 3 days storage. Storage will be charged at £5 plus VAT per day thereafter.
Automobilia
Automobilia can be collected from The Wing over the weekend or Monday morning between 9am
and midday by prior appointment. After this time it can be collected from our offices in
Warwickshire or shipped to you at your expense.
