Original "sandcast" pre-production CBX, one of only 41 bikes produced.
DESCRIPTION
- Hand-built by Honda in 1977 prior to the launch of the, then new, CBX model with mostly matching engine and frame numbers
- 41 examples were scheduled to be built, actual numbers vary but not all were assembled
- Only six examples are known to still exist with most of these in museums or private hands
- The engines on the pre production models were "sandcast" development units and never meant to fall into private hands
- Three "sandcast" engines survived, two belong to Honda and the other remains in this bike
- This example was originally sent to Belgium for promotional or development reasons and remained there up until recently
- Sympathetically restored to running order and refitted with its correct 240kph speedo
- Now UK-registered and complete with Honda dating letter and Certificate of Authenticity
- A super rare piece of Honda history and a must for any serious Honda collector

Any motorcycles not collected by 12pm on Monday 15th May will be taken to our transport partners facility in Northamptonshire for a fee of £110 plus VAT, including 3 days storage. Storage will be charged at £10 plus VAT per day thereafter.
