1977 Porsche 924 2.0

The Porsche 924 was produced from 1976 to 1988 as a two-door, 2+2 coupé replacing the 912. In production terms the 924 was the first Porsche model powered by a water-cooled, front-mounted engine. This arrangement, coupled with rear wheel drive, was normal for most other manufacturers, but it was most unusual for Porsche who had previously only used mid or rear-mounted engines, all of which had been air-cooled.

This extremely early 924 was imported from the U.S.A in 1993. The original service booklet and handbook are supplied with details of the first owner, who registered the car in 1978. This is a very early car denoted by manual wind windows, no wiper on rear window, early style steering wheel, early door mirrors and 1977 date stamped alloy wheels. Past invoices detail its service history in America and there are more recent invoices from work done here in the UK. The history file has MoT certificates that date back to 2006.

Having covered a believed genuine 53,750 miles from new, this economical little Porsche is presented in fine condition. A recent inspection by marque specialists P.I.E Performance Porsche details a full condition report on the car, which will be available at the auction for viewing.
