DESCRIPTION
- Silk Engineering released the Silk 700S in 1976 and produced it until 1979
- Using a Spondon-designed frame and a Scott Flying Squirrel-derived 660cc twin two-stroke engine
- Powerful engine, a good power-to-weight ratio and modern electrics enabled the bike to reach speeds over 100mph
- Expensive in period compared to its competition and only 138 bikes were produced in total, making them rare to find
