DESCRIPTION
A 250GTO Replica for a reasonable outlay...One of 24 re-bodied Datsun 260Z's from circa 1988/9 built by Classic Sports Cars of Ringwood and designed to be a close replication of the iconic 250GTO. The car was purchased by the current owner in 1994, and used for two years, prior to being put into storage. During 2003, one sill was replaced and the other is with the car but never fitted. There are further spares including a new dashboard, and a set of new wire wheels with tyres, that will in the rebuild / upgrade. The car also featured in the September 2011 issue of '5 Stars' - the Owners Club magazine.
accompany the car. Prior to its period in storage, the car had a rebuilt gearbox and clutch, a new stainless exhaust and a top end engine rebuild. Ferrari were so concerned by these Ringwood cars, that they eventually forced their production to close down and had the moulds destroyed, so these, albeit replicas, are quite well-known cars in their own right. This could represent a great opportunity for someone to get their hands on a very unusual project car that is sure, when properly finished, to turn a few heads on the High Street.
