SUMMARY

Partly completed but stalled Mini Van project from long term ownership and offered without Reserve.

DESCRIPTION

  • The Mini Van was renamed as the Mini 95 in 1978, the number representing the gross vehicle weight of 0.95 tons
  • First registered in March 1979, this example was acquired in November 2001 by its current owner who has partially restored and upgraded it over the course of the past 24 years
  • It's now powered by an upgraded Metro 1,275cc engine, rebored by MED Engineering to 1,310cc coupled with rebuilt 4-speed manual gearbox
  • As well as the repairs to its bodywork, the vehicle has been resprayed in Speedwell Blue and the interior retrimmed in black vinyl
  • It has also has benefited from a full mechanical overhaul as part of its restoration, supported by numerous invoices totalling over £6,000
  • The restoration obviously stalled some time ago and we would urge your close inspection to establish how much work remains
  • When completed, the van could be pressed into service as a usable delivery vehicle for a local business, or would make a fun addition to any assembly of British Classics
