SUMMARY
One of the original 150 bikes produced by Colin Seeley as Phil Read Replicas.
DESCRIPTION
- Honda commissioned 400 CB750s to be built by Colin Seeley in 1978 as 'Phil Read Replicas' to celebrate Phil Read's TT victory at the Isle of Man in 1977
- Based on the CB750F2 but fitted with GRP bodywork, handmade alloy tank, single seat, Cibie twin headlights, and a 4 into 1 exhaust system
- Following a disagreement with Phil Read, the number of bikes built was reduced to 150 of which only approx. 50 original examples are known to exist
- This correct example is mostly unrestored and still retains its original bodywork
- Auctioned in 2007 @ 3,900 miles and joined a collection in Italy until purchased by our vendor in 2018
- Recommissioned (including engine rebuild) in 2018, receipts included
- Paraded at Kop Hill in 2019 and shown at various events including the David Silver CB750 Celebration where it was pictured with the late Colin Seeley
- Showing 4,833 recorded miles and is in good running order
- Complete with old MOTs, old tax discs, receipts and Honda handbooks
