DESCRIPTION
- Launched in 1972, the W116 range was the safest Mercedes-Benz yet, with a massively strong bodyshell designed to meet tough new Federal Safety Regulations. It featured more aerodynamic styling, disc brakes all round (ventilated at the front), sophisticated independent suspension at both ends and power-assisted steering
- The 450SE was powered by a 4.5-litre V8 offering 221bhp/271ft.lb and capable of 0-60 in 8.5 seconds
- This good-looking example is an original UK-supplied, RHD car first registered on 03/12/1979
- It's distinctively finished in 'Ikongeld' - Ikon Gold Metallic over Crème Beige MB-Tex
- The indicated mileage is just 51,942 and there are four former registered keepers recorded
