DESCRIPTION
Mike's 14th and final Isle of Man TT Silver Replica Trophy awarded to him at the 1979 TT after winning the F1 TT on his Suzuki RG500 in just over two hours at an average speed of 111.75mph. The traditional silver trophy is mounted on a metal base with a plaque attached which reads 'Millennium of Tynwald'. This refers to the 1,000th annual open-air sitting of the Isle of Man's Parliament, Tynwald which, in 1979, was presided over by our late Queen who, during her reign, also bore the title 'Lord of Mann'.
Purchased by our vendor in 2009, this is another important trophy marking Mike Hailwood's farewell win at the TT and one thousand years of the Manx Parliament.
