DESCRIPTION

  • Silk Engineering released the Silk 700S in 1976 and produced it until 1979
  • Using a Spondon-designed frame and a Scott Flying Squirrel-derived 660cc twin two-stroke engine 
  • Powerful engine, a good power-to-weight ratio and modern electrics enabled the bike to reach speeds over 100mph
  • Expensive in period compared to its competition and only 138 bikes were produced in total, making them rare to find
  • This correct numbers example is presented in good running order and original condition
  • An older restoration and now fitted with a hydraulic clutch lever with original included
  • Show-winner at some local events in Kent
  • History file included containing some old invoices, press cuttings and some old MOTs
