An original example of Yamaha's 1970s big-bore sports cruiser.
DESCRIPTION
- First produced in 1977 for the 1978 model-year, the XS1100 was Yamaha's first four-cylinder four-stroke bike
- Powered by a 1,101cc, DOHC inline-four producing 95bhp and mounted transversely in a duplex cradle frame with swingarm rear suspension, shaft drive and telescopic forks
- The bike was capable of 135mph, more than a match for the Kawasaki Z1 of the same era.
- This 1979 example is unrestored and has covered just 74,446km (46,258 miles)
- In running condition with a recent MOT, it's ideal as a light restoration project
- Supplied with a current V5C plus some old MOT Certificates and tax information
- Offered without Reserve, this could be a cost effective entry into the world of classic Yamahas
