DESCRIPTION
- Derek and Dom Rickman started producing their own frames in 1959 following successful racing careers
- Better known for off-road bikes, they also built road-going race replicas with Honda CB750, Kawasaki Z900 and Z1 engines
- The Rickman-framed machines were known for handling better than the factory originals
- This late CR-Z1 (café racer) example is presented in very original and good overall condition
- Fitted with the Kawasaki Z1000 1015cc engine and correct Mikuni VM33 carburettors
- Originally supplied to Knott Mill Kawasaki in Salford in September 1980
- Correct nickel-plated frame and swing arm, AP Lockheed calipers and master cylinder, Betor front forks, cast alloy wheels, Hagen rear shocks and Harris works exhaust system
- Recent work includes a carburettor overhaul with new floats and jets
- Showing 9,500 miles and complete with correct keys
- In good running order and UK-registered on a current V5C
