SUMMARY
An unrestored example of this popular 1980s, twin-cylinder custom/cruiser.
DESCRIPTION
- The Special cruiser model was introduced in 1978 with the Special-II arriving in 1979/80
- In addition to the obvious pullback bars and a teardrop tank, the Special differed from the Standard with significant changes to the rear suspension
- Standards used a 2.15/18" rear wheel, whereas on the Specials a wide 16" rear wheel was used and shock mounts were changed to angle the shocks further off the vertical. Both changes were made to achieve a 'cruiser' styling with the resultant changes to handling
- Dating from 1980, this Special-II has covered an indicated 22,317 miles and does not appear to have been restored at any point
- Fitted with a new battery and we understand is now running although will need recommissioning before road use or could form the basis of a street tracker/Café bike
- Supplied with its current V5C, some service history and older MOTs

COLLECTION
Due to venue restrictions, all lots must be cleared from Shuttleworth by 2pm on Monday 15th July 2024. If your motorcycle is not collected by then, we will arrange transport with Moving Motorcycles at a cost of £125+VAT which will include 3 days storage at their secure facility in Northamptonshire.
