Fearsome endurance racing homologation machine, one of only c.4,000 made.
DESCRIPTION
- Developed by Honda for endurance racing in the early 1980s
- Built at the HRC factory, c.4,000 produced in total and only 170 shipped to the UK
- Expensive and very exclusive in 1983, most were bought by race teams and wealthy collectors
- This example is presented in pristine condition with correct numbers and very original
- Showing 4,800 miles, documented speedo change due to faulty unit in July 2000 at 15,200 miles
- Previous owner was Dick Hodge, Chairman of the CB1100R Owners Club
- Featured in various publications, including Japanese Classics in August 1992 (copy included)
- Ridden by Ron Haslam at the Isle of Man TT Parade Lap in 1998, photos included
- Regular display bike at the Stafford Show up until recently
- Complete with two original keys, original tool roll and factory paddock stand
- Recently serviced with an hydraulic system flush and fluid, carb service and balance, fresh oil and filter, new plugs
- Various receipts, magazine articles, original owners handbook, old MOTs and associated paperwork
