1984 Mercedes-Benz 280SL

The Mercedes-Benz R107 and C107 were produced by Mercedes-Benz from 1971 through 1989, being the second longest single series ever produced by the automaker, after the G-Class. They were sold under the SL (R107) and SLC (C107) model names as the 280 SL, 280 SLC, 300 SL, etc. up to the 560 SL.

This highly original low mileage 1984 Mercedes Benz 280SL Auto convertible is finished in Classic White with a Black hood , additional white hard top and contrasting terracotta cloth interior. It has travelled just a mere 23,200 miles from new and is a genuine one owner vehicle from new. A UK supplied car, this fabulous original SL speaks for itself and needs no further introduction.

It gets better- the current and original vendor informs us that he was in contact directly with the Mercedes Benz factory when it was being built to track the progress of the build. He also mentions that it has had only two sets of tyres fitted in it's lifetime and one complete new exhaust system in 2013. No other repairs have taken place during the last 30 years and it has had no modifications other than an aftermarket immobiliser fitted.

Having been used only sparingly in the last 10 years the time has now come to relinquish ownership for its next adventure....with only it's second owner from new!

With an MOT and road tax until June 2015 this car, subject only to insurance, could be driven away from the sale.
