DESCRIPTION
- A truly stunning example in Mars Red with the favoured Red Stripe cloth trim
- These extremely early examples - launch spec cars - feature the distinctive and extremely rare red striped interior, vinyl side stripes, small GTi wing badges and the GTi grille badge on the offside
- Owned by our vendor since August 2007 when he purchased it from an elderly lady who owned the car from new (August 1984)
- Supplied with a comprehensive history file dating right back to day one, including service details and invoices, MOTs and the original Bill of Sale
- Recent maintenance includes four new shock absorbers, springs and top mounts, Pirelli P-Slot wheels refurbed, new Pirelli tyres, new discs and pads, refurbished calipers and many perishable items renewed to return the car to tip-top condition
- Finding Mk2s in an unmodified condition is extremely difficult, let alone finding one with low-mileage and low-owners. Given this car also benefits from the rare and distinctive launch-spec features and is in a desirable and striking colour, we feel it's rather special

Due to venue restrictions we need to be clear of the WEC by 1pm on Monday 2nd therefore any motor vehicles not collected by this time will be taken to our transport partners storage facility in Northampton for a fee of £150 plus VAT. Storage will be charged at £10 plus VAT per day.
