- After four short years, Toyota chose to retire the fifth generation of the Corolla prior to the arrival of the ubiquitous front-wheel drive models
- The retirement did little to abate the car's popularity but with a shortage of original Irish/UK-spec cars, demand exceeds supply
- Hard to find in UK-spec, this good looking example is finished in New White set off by a fresh set of Minilite alloys
- Powered by the legendary ‘4A-GE’, all-aluminium, 1.6-litre, 16-valve, twin-cam engine that seems to rev forever mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox
- We understand that it's been fitted with a full Janspeed exhaust and lowered springs and was with its previous owner for 22 years
