DESCRIPTION
- Introduced by Yamaha in 1984 off the back of their successful GP results with Kenny Roberts
- The bike was basically a detuned and more approachable version of the YZR500 race bike
- Fitted with a powerful four-cylinder, 500cc, two-stroke engine with Yamaha's variable exhaust port timing YPVS system
- Race suspension and lightweight, track-inspired handling made the bike a fearsome machine
- This matching numbers, UK-registered from new example is presented in original and unrestored condition
- In running order with a current MOT until March 2025
- Presented in very good condition with 18,000 recorded miles and two original keys
- Same owner since 1986, always garaged, never used in the wet and complete with its original toolkit
- Engine rebuilt in 2012 using genuine Yamaha parts
- Documents include MOTs dating back to 1988, photo of engine rebuild parts, old V5, original owners handbook and original workshop manual
- Great example and very rare to find in this condition
- Paddock stand included. UK-registered on a current V5C
