DESCRIPTION
The name 'Testarossa', literally Redhead, became synonymous with Ferrari sports racing cars in the 50s and 60s and was reincarnated at the launch of their new model at the Paris Show at Porte de Versailles in 1984. Housing a 4.9 litre V12 engine pushing out 390BHP, the car was capable of a respectable 0-60 mph time of 4.7 seconds and top speed of 196mph. Produced between 1984 and 1991, some 7,177 Testarossa's were produced in total. The earliest and rarest of all Testarossa's are the single high mirror "Flying Mirror' with "Knock off' centre lock wheels examples these are fast be coming the most sought after and desirable off them all.
This early "Flying Mirror' example was first delivered to Switzerland in 1986, and whilst originally finished in Bianco, the car was repainted early in its life in Giallo Fly Yellow, arguably one the best colours for a Ferrari!
The car remained in Switzerland until the current owner purchased it in 2004 and eventually registered it in 2006. Showing 73,000kms (c45,000 miles) this car has a fantastic history having been maintained regardless of cost by a number of Ferrari specialists, notably Autofficina, who have serviced it to a very high standard over the past few years.
Recent work undertaken includes a strengthened differential, new radiators and a cambelt service less than two years ago, meaning the car runs as well as it looks.

The interior, similarly, has been well looked after with the 1980's Pioneer stereo still in place as is the correct, dedicated 3 piece, apparently unused, luggage set in a cloth bag. A toolkit, jack and a number of handbooks and manuals accompany the car.
Well known within the supercar world, this car has been featured in numerous magazines including Classic and Sportscar on two occasions, including a 5 page feature in the 2012 30th. Aniversary Issue, Evo magazine and Octane. Copies of some of these features come with the car in a portfolio.
One of the rarest Testarossa variants on the market, this car is a well maintained and much loved example and is a true iconic supercar.
