SUMMARY

A very well cared for, low-owners, low-mileage example of Peugeot's legendary 1.6GTi in Alpine White.

DESCRIPTION

  • Introduced in 1984, the 1.6-litre GTi was blessed with brilliant handling and an eager revvy engine and even today is the benchmark by which modern performance hatchbacks are judged
  • For the 1987 model year, the 1,580cc XU5JA engine with Bosch L-Jetronic fuel-injection was upgraded and now produced 115bhp at 6,250rpm and 98.4lb/ft of torque
  • UK-supplied, this late 1986 (1987 M/Y) example displays correct Phase 1 features including the Siem driving lamps, round base door mirrors, rear spoiler with squared ends bonded to the rear screen and the fluted rear applique with Peugeot and 205 GTi badges correctly affixed left and right
  • Finished in Alpine White with the distinctive Phase 1 interior with grey cloth bolsters, 'Quattro' velour cloth panel inserts and bright red carpets. Factory-fitted sunroof
  • 70,962 miles indicated and just three former registered keepers (first owner for 23 years)
  • Original service book/book pack present. Large history file. Original key and both spares
  • Fresh MOT before sale, the car will be fully serviced with a new cam belt and all fluids and filters
