- The Mk2 may have suffered for not being the first Golf GTi but, in many ways, it’s a better car - faster, more comfortable and more modern
- Powered by a 1.8-litre, 16-valve, four-cylinder producing c.137bhp coupled to a 5-speed manual transmission
- Finished in one of the most sought after colours, Monza Blue, this example has covered 108,000 miles from new and retains all of its original features, including an unused first aid kit and warning triangle
- The interior has also worn wellvwith no rips or tears and the parcel shelf is free from speaker holes
