SUMMARY
Correct numbers and well-preserved example of the legendary Grand Prix-derived two-stroke.
DESCRIPTION
- Suzuki dominated the Grand Prix scene in the 1970s, winning seven consecutive constructors Championships with the two-stroke square-four XR14 and XR22
- The production racing RG500 emerged from this success offering an 'out of the box' package to privateers keen to compete, or as a well-rounded road bike
- This smart example was imported in 1992 and has had three UK-keepers
- Its previous owner restored the bike to a high standard and the engine was fully rebuilt in 2016
- It has covered 13,531 miles, appears to be complete and is described as 'running and riding' with no known faults
