Very well presented, second-generation, Escort RS Turbo with just one former registered keeper from new.
DESCRIPTION
- The Series 2 Escort RS Turbo (1986-1990) was more suited to daily use, whereas the earlier car was a bit of an 'homologation special'
- New features included the water-cooled Garrett T3 turbo, revised engine management settings, improved KE-Jetronic unit, lower overall gearing, an improved gearbox, limited-slip differential, and a larger clutch
- Suspension and chassis changes included stiffer front and rear springs, uprated anti-roll bars, mechanical ABS and larger brakes
- The S2 produced an impressive 132bhp at 5,750rpm offering a top speed of 125mph and a 0-60mph time of 8.3 seconds
- First registered on 10/02/1989 this Mercury Grey example is indicating 89,350 miles. Just one former registered keeper from new
- Original dealer plates and sticker in the rear window. Lots of service receipts, old MOTs, tax discs, and a handbook
