SUMMARY

Very smart 1.9-litre example of the iconic French 'Hot Hatch', benefiting from a comprehensive restoration in 2020. Just one previous keeper.

DESCRIPTION

  • The Phase 1.5 was launched in the UK in January 1988 with production ending in July 1990
  • First registered in 1989, this phase 1.5, was a company car for the current owner’s old employment before purchasing personally in 2001 and now showing just one previous owner
  • The vehicle was sent to Peugeot specialist, Pug1, in 2020 and underwent a comprehensive restoration
  • Powered by a naturally-aspirated 1.9-litre inline-four which has been rebuilt, delivering around 128bhp to the front wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission
  • Finished in Cherry Red over a new black and grey cabin with leather-trimmed bolsters and cloth seat inserts. It sits on 15" Speedline alloy wheels
  • Supplied with original handbooks, restoration invoices, servicing invoices and MOT until Febuary 2025
  • As a defining Hot Hatch of the 1980s and 1990s, the 205 GTi has always been held in high regard although it's increasingly hard to find one in such good order, ready to be enjoyed immediately
