DESCRIPTION

The RS Turbo was the high-performance model in the Ford Fiesta Mk3 range and was introduced, as a three-door version only, in April 1990
Powered by a 132bhp, CVH 1.6-litre, four-cylinder with a Garrett T2 turbocharger offering 0-60 in 7.3 seconds and 130mph
The transmission was lifted from an Escort RS Turbo and the suspension was developed to cope with the higher cornering speeds
This fabulous example is fresh from an engine-out comprehensive restoration with the emphasis on originality
Freshly painted in its original Mercury Grey. Original Recaro interior in remarkable condition
Just 48,059 miles indicated and the car will have a fresh MOT prior to the sale

Beautiful condition and completely original, no rips or burns & minimal wear on the seats. It's still has the original chassis number stamped in the driver's side floor - not many still have this. Everything works as it should.

Engine has been removed, striped and rebuilt with a genuine Ford cam belt, water pump, spark plugs, oil filer & oil. The head was skimmed and head gasket replaced with a genuine one. We have replaced the starter motor & alternator with genuine ones. It has genuine HT leads, heat shield & Walker exhaust system which I was informed was used in factory. It also has the genuine hoses & a new genuine Turbo.

We have the V5 documentation and some service history from 9 years ago. We also have lots of receipts and packaging from parts replaced. We also have some pictures from the restoration. This is a stunning example of a Ford Fiesta RS Turbo, very few around in this condition. Would be great in a collector or to be used on the road.

Restoration Notes

Body shell striped & re sprayed in genuine Mercury Grey. Engine & Gearbox have been stripped & rebuilt. This RS Turbo is standard with no modifications. Brand new Uniroyal Tyres, freshly restored alloy wheels. including the spare. New suspension, brakes including fuel & brake lines. All glass is original with matching markings and all the underside parts freshly powder coated. Genuine parts used when available.
