DESCRIPTION

1991 TVR V8S Introduced in 1991, the Rover-engined TVR V8S benefitted from several improvements over the 6-cylinder S models, including a stiffer chassis, larger brakes and a limited-slip diff. TVR folklore has it that a very small number of cars (possible only half a dozen) were fitted at the factory with 4.3-litre engines instead of the standard 4.0L, for friends of TVR Chairman Peter Wheeler, and this is believed to be one of those. What is certain is that the DVLA have it registered as 4,280cc, and, having driven it, we can confirm that it performs as a 4.3 should! 20/8/18: Additional information has come to light on this vehicle and we can now confirm this particular car is the very first example to be supplied by the factory. This has been confirmed from records held by the TVRCC. There is a substantial amount of service history with the car, but we are unable to warrant the mileage since there is a fault with the odometer.
