SUMMARY

Believed to be one of less than ten remaining licensed on the road, this attractive four-seat Renault 19 16v Cabriolet has covered less than 55,000 miles.

DESCRIPTION

  • Renault's 19 16v won What Car's Hot-Hatch of the Year award in 1990 and was repeatedly praised for its fine ride and handling balance
  • Powered by the same responsive 142bhp 1.8-litre engine as the Clio 16v mated to a 5-speed gearbox
  • It was joined in 1991 by the 19 16v Cabriolet, the brand’s first cabriolet since the Caravelle (1968) and 4 Plein-Air (1970)
  • This is an original UK-supplied example with just 54,954 miles indicated and is on offer from five years current ownership
  • It presents well in Glacier White with a gently patinated dark grey leather interior, topped by a brand new mohair soft top in the original dark blue, and sitting on its original 'Phase 1' 16v alloy wheels
  • Dealer book pack, stamped service book and V5C all present. MOT until July 2025
  • With values of fast R5s and Clios continuing to climb, the 16-valve 19 can't be far behind

Remarks

Original stamped service book and bookpack. The reason Iā€™m selling the car is because I own several rare classic cars and have limited storage space. If youā€™re after a really rare French hot hatch other than a 5 turbo or a 205 gti then come and have a look at the NEC.
