DESCRIPTION
- The R1100RS is a sports touring motorcycle produced by BMW Motorad between 1993 and 2001 and was the first in BMW's stable to use the new generation R259 flat-twin boxer engine which featured air-cooled cylinders but oil-cooled cylinder heads
- It used a frameless design, the engine being a stressed member with the 'TeleLever' front suspension mounted directly to the front of the engine with a rear subframe for the rider and low maintenance paralever shaft rear-drive system
- This example is well equipped with lockable and removable side panniers, heated grips, adjustable screen and ABS brakes
- Confirmed running, it remains in good overall original condition having covered 48,419 miles
- The bike's first owner was radio broadcasting legend Johnnie Walker MBE with correspondence from the presenter included in the history file
- Supplied with its V5C, considerable service history, and old MOT and tax information
