SUMMARY

A superb example of the rare JDM Celica ST205 in Super White and in show condition.

DESCRIPTION

  • Rare WRC Edition Celica ST205 GT-4. One of 2,500 (2,100 JDM)
  • Launched in Japan in January 1994 before being released in the UK later that same year, the ST205 GT-Four was the top of the Celica range and the most powerful Celica produced to date
  • Designed with influence from Toyota's rally team and producing 255bhp (JDM) from its turbocharged 2-litre delivering power to all four wheels
  • Modifications to the standard car in order to homologate for the WRC include raised rear wing as standard, bonnet spoiler, anti-lag fitted (not enabled) with WRC specific heatshield, water spray-bar to spray intercooler (not enabled)
  • In 'show condition', our vendor acquired this rare 'sunroof' model (less than 200) in April 2019 directly from Japan
  • He is a  marque and model enthusiast and has carried our a number of minor modifications "nothing extreme" including fitting the rare Recaro seats with matching rears, carbon-effect dash and door trim etc.
  • For anyone wanting to acquire a serious show car, this 'turn key' opportunity stands head and shoulders above many contemporaries

Remarks

GT-Four (ST205) WRC homologation models made by Toyota to enter this model as a Group A rally car to satisfy the requirements of FIA rules. A total of 2500 WRC units were made by Toyota. 2100 WRC units were sold in Japan, 300 WRC units exported for sale in Europe, 77 WRC units were exported for sale in Australia and the remainder to the rest of the world. This car is one of the initial Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) batch as it is #2833 and is therefore an import. As a WRC model, this car features water injection and anti-lag (which weren't factory activated), WRC heat shield plus a higher rear wing, a different exhaust manifold and revised engine management. Its also a sunroof model less than 200 made so I've been told.

Import Notes

Imported for client directly from Japan, he remains its only Uk keeper
