SUMMARY
A very well presented UK-supplied example of Cagiva's fast and lightweight Ducati-powered enduro bike in classic Lucky Strike livery. 14,056km believed to be correct. Refreshed and repainted in 2022 and not used since. Offered without Reserve.
DESCRIPTION
- With Cagiva’s acquisition of Ducati in 1985, they suddenly had access to a range of four-stroke, V-twin motorcycle engines of significantly larger capacities. It wasn’t long before they started to fit these engines to their large enduro frame, known as 'Elefant'. The Elefant, so named after the Elephant in the original Cagiva logo, attained international celebrity after Edi Orioli won the 1990 Dakar Rally riding one. He repeated the feat in 1994, further cementing the Elefant’s reputation as a tough and durable enduro machine
- Supplied new by TW Motorcycles in Kidlington on 19/04/1995. Purchased by our vendors in August 2020
- Very well presented in the popular 'Lucky Explorer' Lucky Strike sponsorship livery
- All Cagiva Elefants were supplied with KPH speedometers regardless of market. In this case the odometer reads 14,056km (8,733 miles) supported by stamps in the original service booklet for 1,000km/six months service 27/05/1995, 04/06/1996 @ 3,378km and 15/05/1998 @ 6,439km plus subsequent MOTs
- Fitted with a JRE silencer and a Corbin comfort saddle
- Subject to a refresh by RPM on 17/03/2022 (£2,430.52). Invoice included. Part of this was £1,197 for a repaint
- We understand that it was in full running order when put into storage but will require new belts (based on age not mileage!)
- Excitingly, offered at No Reserve
