1995 Subaru Impreza WRX STi 555 Version 2

This particular Subaru Impreza WRX STi 555 (Version 2), finished in World Rally Blue, must surely be one of the cleanest and best presented examples currently available and the simply remarkable external appearance is matched by a superb interior, a fully detailed engine bay and an underside which is just exceptional. It was purchased a couple of years ago by our vendor from a collector in Scotland and he has spent much of that time preparing and detailing it with the emphasis on originality.

It was showcased on the Meguiars Club Stand at the NEC Classic Motor Show in November 2023 and judged not only The 'Glipstone Best Classic' at Waxstock 2023 but also awarded the 'Glipstone Arrive & Shine Best of Show' trophy.

Mechanically, exceptional care and attention have been lavished, evident in the new bushes, bolts, polished and powder-coated brackets, new back-plates, discs, pads, brake lines and fully refurbished calipers all rolling on refurbished alloy wheels wearing a set of new Yokohama tyres. In addition, the clutch has been replaced within the last 200 miles and a new timing belt fitted.

A three inch-thick history file accompanies the WRX detailing the Impreza's past and includes its Japanese service records and handbook, numerous invoices, receipts and past MOT Certificates dating back to its arrival in the UK in 2004. An interesting addition is what is thought to be Colin McRae’s signature on the dashboard which, whilst we are unable to authenticate the originality, certainly adds to the cachet of this outstanding Subaru. It should also be noted that the private registration number presently assigned, N555 WAX, will remain and form part of the sale.
