SUMMARY

Possibly the rarest version of the RX7 in the UK today, a Type-RB Bathurst edition, and undoubtedly the coolest.

DESCRIPTION

  • One of 500 Type R Bathurst examples built exclusively for the Japanese Domestic Market to commemorate consecutive 1992-1994 wins at Australia’s Bathurst 12-Hour race. They were sold under Mazda’s luxury brand, Efini
  • Powered by a 1.3-litre twin-turbocharged rotary engine conservatively rated by the manufacturer at 252bhp and 217lb/ft
  • This bespoke example was modified and upgraded in its heyday in Japan and is not a UK homage
  • Featuring a carbon bonnet, wings and spoiler, 'Works' mono-block wheels and a huge spec, it appears to belong at car shows or in the midst of a Gran Turismo collection
  • Our offering here has accompanied our avid collector to the UK, is UK-registered and comes with a fresh MOT prior to sale
  • With market prices for rare JDM cars continuing to strengthen, this is a topical opportunity
