DESCRIPTION

The key thing is that it was one of only 14 water-cooled 911s made in 1997, so it's as early as they come. Being an early car, it comes with the hollow-spoke 993 turbo wheels as a standard option. It's the wish-list car for anyone wanting a narrow body 911 driver's car - I believe it's the lightest water-cooled 911 they made and actually lighter than a 996 GT3 RS! It's going into the bodyshop in the morning (I have a friend who quit his job at the local Porsche bodyshop to setup alone) and it'll be free of stonechips, dents, etc. It should be absolutely perfect by the time you see it ... unless it rains on the way up

The summary is that this is the ideal spec if you want a driver-focused 911. It's the lightweight with LSD, manual gearbox, a decent stereo and the comfy seats. It's a lovely place to be and looks superb in black. The 3.4 engine is lighter and less susceptible to the IMS issues as it pre-dates the changes that caused the issues.

There's good history with the car too with a good stack of receipts, service book, radio code and two keys. It's got 16 stamps in the book (there's no stamps turn of the century, but I assume it was serviced as it was only 3 years old and OPC continued afterwards). In addition, here's some highlights from the stack of receipts I have...139 Heated passenger seat
