SUMMARY
The Type-R Version 6 was a limited production (1,000) JDM version of the P1, a very rare opportunity in the UK.
DESCRIPTION
- The Impreza WRX STI Type-R was introduced to the Japanese Domestic Market in January 1997.
- The two-door body is slightly stronger/stiffer than the four-door RA and a solid rear bulkhead increased torsional stiffness even further
- Apart from the bodyshell, differences between the Type-R and the JDM four-door STi models included a short-ratio gearbox, an adjustable Electromechanical Centre Differential (DCCD), the absence of ABS, Intercooler water spray, two opposed pistons on the rear brake calipers (instead of four) and some cosmetic differences
- The Type-R Version 6 was a limited production of 1,000 models only made for the Japanese market
- Powered by a turbocharged, 2-litre ‘EJ20’ flat-four, delivering around 206kW to all four wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission
- Imported by its current owner, #322 has been kept unmodified in a private Collection, although is now UK-registered and offered for sale
- Finished in Sonic Blue over blue cloth and synthetic suede upholstery for the front seats, red contrast stitching, black carpets, embossed ‘STi’ lettering on the front seat backs, it sits on a set of RAYS 16'' six-spoke alloy wheels finished in gold
- Supplied with some previous Japanese paperwork including grading/import sheet (grade 4), a service invoice (UK) in 2023 (£530), and an MOT until April 2025 (no advisories)
- With only a small number sold, the Version 6 is rarer than the P1 and seldom available for sale on the UK market

Due to venue restrictions, all vehicles must be collected on Monday 3rd June between 9am and 2pm.
Any vehicles not collected by this time will be transported to a secure storage facility in Northampton by our transport partner EM Rogers, the charges for which are £225 plus VAT for removal and £10 plus VAT per day for storage. We will make contact on Sunday to confirm how you will be removing your vehicle(s). If we do not hear back from you by 5pm on Sunday evening, we will arrange collection with EM Rogers on your behalf.
