1999 Pilgrim Sumo Cobra MK3.

Pilgrim cars were founded originally in 1985 in Brighton, West Sussex, and began manufacturing a range of classic car reincarnations. From 1987, the Sumo, based on the profile of the iconic AC Cobra, was added to the range.The complex curves of the original Cobra have proven difficult to replicate, but it was generally considered that Pilgrim had done a great job with the Sumo. Since then more than 3500 have been built with a variety of power units and sold to enthusiasts around the world.

The particular Pilgrim Cobra MK3 offered here was registered new on 26 May 1999, and was built to a very high specification for its first owner who chose to have it finished in traditional dark blue paintwork with contrasting white stripes. The interior is trimmed in cream leather with contrasting black carpets and door cards and weather protection is provided by a well-fitted vinyl soft top and frame. Motive power is provided by the ubiquitous Rover V8 3.5ltr petrol engine mated to a 4-speed manual gearbox, giving more than adequate performance for an enthusiastic driver.

Having covered only 3,300 miles, the car is "On the Button" and exhilarating to drive. The very appropriate registration "E8 BRA" is included with the sale. The car comes complete with its UK V5C, 12 months MOT and is taxed to 31 July 2015. Also included is the owner's history file with numerous previous MOTs and a detailed service history.
