DESCRIPTION
Launched at the 1993 Geneva Salon, and thanks to styling from Keith Helfet and Ian Callum, the DB7 looked beautiful. So - it stole the show, and met with critical acclaim. But it wasn't up to scratch in some areas such as ergonomics, build quality and engine note. As a result Series 2 cars were launched in 1996, and were a big improvement. It was in 1999 that the V12-engined DB7 Vantage finally came of age. Even then, it was only with the final incarnation, the GT, that the DB7 could really give its key rivals a run for their money dynamically. But it's the current affordability of the DB7 that really sets it out - it's usefully fast and great looking.
This beautiful 'Aston Martin British Racing Green' DB7 was first registered on 31st March 2000 to a Mr J Taylor of Warwick who kept the car for three years and in that time did 18,490 miles. On 11th July 2003 the car was bought by a Mr H Meynell MBE from Aston Martin dealer PJ Evans for £66,000.00 who in the ten years since then has only covered 9,300 miles in the car, meaning the mileage now stands at an incredibly low 27,900 miles from new. This mileage is supported by the extensive service history.
The Aston Racing Green bodywork is complimented by an interior in what Aston Martin call 'Forest Fawn' which is a very attractive combination of dark magnolia and dark green leather. The condition of the bodywork and the interior are absolutely immaculate, as you would expect for such a low mileage, two-owner car.
The car comes with all books, unused tool kit & spare wheel and an extensive history file supporting the service history, which includes the purchase invoice when Mr Meynell bought the car in 2003. The car has an MOT until July 2014 with no Advisories. It also benefits from having the latest specification coil packs and plugs fitted at considerable cost.
Being a DB7 Vantage the car is fitted with the 5.9 litre, 48 valve V12 engine producing 420 bhp and 400lb/ft of torque meaning the car will achieve 0-60 in 4.9 seconds and, being an automatic, will go on to a top speed of 165 mph.
This Aston Martin is also fitted with a Tracker, which can be registered to the new owner.
