SUMMARY
Originally the Factory Press car, AML 1, when first registered, this is a very rare manual gearbox DB7 Vantage in excellent condition.
DESCRIPTION
Background:
The Aston Martin DB7 Vantage, with its powerful V12 engine, has long been revered as a masterpiece of design and performance. This particular car is especially rare, equipped with the sought-after manual gearbox and boasting a distinctive provenance as the original factory press car, AML 1, when first registered. The DB7’s launch in the 1990s marked a new era for Aston Martin, blending exceptional luxury with thrilling performance, and this manual V12 example remains one of the most coveted configurations.
The Car:
First registered as AML 1, this DB7 Vantage is powered by the Cosworth-designed, 5.9-litre, 48-valve all-alloy V12 engine. It produces a smooth 420bhp and 400lb/ft of torque, delivering a thrilling driving experience while maintaining the refinement expected from Aston Martin. The car’s performance is complemented by a beautifully finished Grigio Titanio exterior, paired with a striking Bordeaux leather interior.
Factory options on this car include a sports exhaust, Vantage wheels, red brake callipers, heated seats, a brushed-suede roof lining and elegant light Walnut veneers on the dashboard, centre console, and door inserts. The luxurious AM-embossed Wilton carpets complete the refined interior.
This DB7 Vantage has been meticulously maintained, with service and maintenance invoices totalling almost £80,000. Notably, in 2011, at 51,000 miles, the car underwent significant work by Trinity Engineering, including £8,000 worth of upgrades such as new front sub-frame mountings, bushings, an overhauled steering rack and powder coating. More recently, new brake discs and pads were installed and a full service (costing around £3,000) was completed by AstonDB7.com.
The current mileage is just over 59,700 miles, and the car was recently MOT’d in July 2024, with fewer than 100 miles driven since. The car presents in superb condition, with the iconic combination of British craftsmanship, exceptional performance and rarity that makes it an outstanding opportunity for the discerning buyer.
Summary:
This rare and highly desirable Aston Martin DB7 Vantage is a manual gearbox V12 example, in excellent condition, with a well-documented history and a rich specification. With fewer than 60,000 miles on the clock, recent servicing, and a distinguished provenance, it represents an unmissable chance to own a piece of automotive history.
