Remarks
The 2001 UK Limited Editions. Bordeaux (June 2001) 1 of 100 petrol 4.0 made. I have been told it’s 1 of 42 remaining. The 200-strong Bordeaux limited edition was introduced on 28 June 2001 to give Land Rover a product in the under £40,000 sector, and a competitor for the new Mercedes Benz ML430. Based on the entry-level County model, it’s on-the-road price was £38,995. There was 100 4.0-litre petrol and 2.5-litre turbo diesel models., all with automatic transmission and an electric sunroof. All the Bordeaux models were finished in wine-coloured Alveston Red, with the bumpers, sills and door mirror heads painted to match. There were also Alveston Red highlights on the spokes of the 18in Proline alloy wheels. The interior was upholstered in Lightstone leather, with Rowan Berry Red piping on the edges of the seats and matching carpets. The steering wheel, door trims, handbrake gaiter and gear-shift knob were all in Lightstone leather.
