This major revamp included an increase in engineoutput to 8.3 Litres and 500 BHP, whilst shaving 230kg off the engine weight. Thechassis was also redeveloped making it more rigid yet saving sime 36kg in weight.

The wheelbase is increased yet the overall length is shorter.

It runs on fully independent suspension and braking is also substantiallyimproved with massive four-pot Calipers - saving 80ft off the stopping distancefrom 100 mph.Visually, the car was changed quite substantially and in this redesignpracticality was key with a simple-to-operate retractingconvertible roof (rather than an optional removable panel) and electricwindows.The interior space is also improved with a more “head on” driving position. Theboot space and access is also substantially improved.All in all, Dodge were clearly out to make the Viper more usable with the SRT10 and therefore more appealing (let alone faster as these muscle cars alwayshave to be with each incarnation of course!) to a larger audience of carenthusiast. They appear to have succeeded.This particular 2003 Viper was purchased in January 2005 by it's one UK owner directly from a Dodge dealer in the US at 7,287 miles, having been enjoyed by just one former Americsn keeper as evidence in the history file.This car has been used in the summer months only over the last 6 years and ispresented in truly immaculate condition. It"s one UK owner has kept the car 100%original without modification.A simply wonderful car that just makes you smile whether you"re driving or observing it rumble down the street.
