DESCRIPTION
Background:
The fifth generation Mercedes-Benz SL – known as the R230 – was introduced in 2001 and continued the long and proud SL history of open-top motoring, combined with the luxury that Mercedes owners expected.
Featuring a retractable ‘Vario Roof’ hardtop for the first time, with active suspension, keyless entry and Sensotronic braking adding to the high-tech nature of the new car, the SL offered a range of engine options with the smooth 5.5-litre, 510hp V12 of the SL600 sitting atop the range at launch.

This two-owner SL600 combines the best of both worlds offering open-top motoring when the weather allows, with a cosy, cosseting cockpit when inclement. Throw in the glorious V12 power unit and you have the ideal car for relaxed daily driving, or as a high days and holidays dose of high adrenaline fun.
