DESCRIPTION

The 612 Scaglietti is a 5.7-litre V12, 540bhp 2+2 Grand Coupe manufactured between 2004 and 2010, and cost some £182,952 in basic specification when new
Supplied new by Carrs Ferrari of Exeter on 16th July 2006 in Tour De France Blue with a tan leather interior and dark blue carpeting
Options included split-rim modular alloy wheels, giallo (yellow) brake calipers, Scuderia wing badges and dark blue leather piping to the four seats
Just two Ferrari main dealers have serviced the car from new, Carrs and Graypaul, and the service book shows nine stamps
Recently serviced by Graypaul of Nottingham on the 7th September 2021 at 27,807 miles, the “clutch life” was reported as 97%

The 612 Scaglietti is unique among its contemporaries and residual values reflect the car’s modern looks, luxurious interior and blistering performance in comparison.

As a mark of respect for their decades-long working relationship, Ferrari named the 612 after the legendary Sergio Scaglietti, whose famous design house 'Carrozzeria Scaglietti' was responsible for the look of some of the most stunning coachbuilt Ferraris in the fifties and sixties. The design of the 612 is said to have been inspired by the 1954 Rossellini-Bergman custom 375MM, which was commissioned by film director Roberto Rossellini for his lovely wife, the actress Ingrid Bergman. The model features deep side scallops and large headlights together with a long, sleek silhouette and the result is an imposing, unusual looking car, projecting dynamism and power.

This sporty front-engined, rear-wheel drive Berlinetta is a paradox Ferrari, being an energetic car to drive, yet also having four full seats for passengers, making it suitable for longer journeys and city use too. A genuine departure from previous GT models, the 612 Scaglietti's transaxle transmission sees the rear-mounted, six-speed, F1 gearbox working with the limited-slip differential in a shared function and this, combined with the first-ever all-aluminium body on a 12-cylinder Ferrari, makes for fantastic dynamics as well as improved comfort and safety.

Supplied new by Carrs of Exeter on the 16th July 2006 in Tour de France Blue with tan leather, arguably the best colour combination for the model, the optional extras include split-rim modular alloy wheels, giallo (yellow) brake calipers, Scuderia wing badges and dark blue leather piping to the four seats. Our vendor added this delightful car to his small Ferrari collection in 2018, covering some 500 miles during his ownership to date.

When last serviced in September this year, the car received a new battery and our vendor was informed that the “clutch life” was at a very healthy 97%. The MOT is valid until August 2022, the history file includes historical invoices and the leather-bound folder contains the service book and handbooks.

Very few of the 612 Scaglietti’s mass-produced contemporaneous rivals have faired as well in the current market as this model. The 612’s classically modern styling, unmistakably Italian interior and smooth yet ferocious performance from the V12 engine and the silky six-speed automatic F1-style gearbox is without compare. This car is undoubtedly the connoisseur’s choice.

Any cars not collected by 2pm on Monday 15^th November will be taken to our EM Rogers storage facility in Northampton for a fee of £175 plus VAT. Storage will be charged at £10 plus VAT per day from the Monday onwards.
