2008 Ferrari 430 GTS Scuderia - VAT Qualifying

Unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show by Michael Schumacher in 2007, the Ferrari 430 Scuderia was lighter and more powerful than the 430. Extra power came from a revised intake and exhaust system with engine management that allowed for a higher compression ratio. There were also upgraded electronics for the swift semi-automatic gear changes gained from their 'F1' experience. The upgrades would carry Ferrari further into its GT racing campaign and maintain a competitive edge against its rivals, namely the Porsche RSR.

Purchased new by our vendor in 2007, direct from Ferrari UK as a Challenge car, it was unused before being sent to world renowned and factory approved, 'Kessel Racing', in Switzerland to be converted to GT3 specification.

It was then raced in the 2008/2009 British GT Championship by Hector Lester and the late great, Allan Simonsen, who were supported when required by Jamie Davies and Stephane Daoudi. It was run by Scotland's 'Road and Track' Team, headed by John Buchan who applied much of the experience gained during their previously successful two seasons. The car is credited with 2 wins, 7 poles and 11 fastest laps.

For the 2010 British GT Championship, the 430 GT3 was sent to to Kessel Racing to be converted to Scuderia specification. At this stage the chassis and engine had covered 9326kms, so a new engine block was fitted to complete full upgrade to the Scuderia. Over the season and some races in 2011 Allan Simonsen, Hector Lester and Stephane Daoudi scored many podium finishes including - 1 win, 3 poles and 4 fastest laps.

This Ferrari 430 GT3 Scuderia represents their final evolution and is a car with great history and provenance. Driven and synonymous with the late Allan Simonsen, who defined an era with his outstanding talents in GT racing.

Still competitive and welcome in most curent GT series, it is sold with spares, set up information and the goodwill of the team.
