DESCRIPTION
Background:
The Westfield Eleven is a modern homage to the legendary Lotus Seven, offering the quintessential British sports car experience with its minimalist design, lightweight construction and incredible driving dynamics. The Eleven captures the spirit of the original while incorporating modern engineering, making it a true enthusiast's car that’s as much at home on the road as it is on track.
The Car:
This stunning Westfield Eleven was registered in 2015, with just 15,000 miles covered since its build. Finished in the classic combination of British Racing Green with red leather seats, dashboard, carpets and steering wheel, it exudes vintage British charm with a contemporary twist. The car sits proudly on 13" Minilite-style wheels with grey anthracite centres and polished rims, shod with a set of grippy Toyo Proxes tyres for excellent road handling.
Power comes from a tuned 1275 A-series engine, fitted with a 1.5" SU carburettor for improved reliability and drivability. The engine was rebuilt during the car’s construction and it delivers a thrilling turn of speed, accompanied by the unmistakable pops and bangs on the overrun. Mated to a Ford 5-speed type-9 gearbox, this Westfield cruises comfortably at 70mph, offering a relaxed driving experience on longer journeys without sacrificing its sports car edge.
The build quality is exemplary, with many components sourced directly from Westfield, including the correct mirrors, seats and wiring loom. The car is surprisingly roomy – even taller drivers will find it comfortable, with ample space for both legs and feet, although it might not be the best choice for a cross-Europe road trip (though the original owner did, on occasion!).
The car benefits from a full history file, including all original build receipts, registration documents and a Westfield build manual. The MOT runs through to July 2024 and the car comes with a tonneau cover for when you're not out enjoying the open road.
