SUMMARY
Evocative images of Bentleys at Le Mans in 1929 and the Bentley vs 'Blue Train' by the renowned British artist. It is unusual to find these c.1970s limited edition prints in such good condition and complete with their notes below.
DESCRIPTION
Painted in 1968, 'Bentleys at Le Mans' captures Baron Andre d'Enanger in the pits filling the sump of the 4½-litre Bentley whilst Jack Dunfee in #9 roars past.
'Bentley vs Blue' Train depicts the famous 13th March 1930 race from Cannes to Calais showing the elegant Bentley Gurney Nutting coupé (which was NOT the vehicle used for the dice as it hadn't even been built then) alongside the Blue Train. The Bentley won with time to spare.
Both prints have been carefully restored and are framed, mounted and glazed, measuring 102cm x 89cm.
