SUMMARY
The Metro Turbo was the essence of small car cool in the early eighties but are now as rare as the proverbial hens teeth. This Series One appears in fine fettle.
DESCRIPTION
- The formula was simple - take a lightweight, three-door hatch with the proven 1,275cc A-Series and add a turbo
- This addition increased power from 70bhp to 93bhp with a decent increase in torque and performance
- This example was rescued from storage around three years ago and recommissioned by our enthusiastic vendor
- Appears to have been fitted with an Avonbar cylinder head and an intercooler at some point. The radiator has been replaced as has the master cylinder and the brakes overhauled and rebuilt
- The exterior might appreciate just a little TLC, however, the interior appears well cared for
