
Silverstone Auctions biggest motorcycle sale yet kicks off on May 14th at its new venue with a whopping 170 bikes estimated at £1m.
Mark Bryan, Head of Motorcycle sales at Silverstone says that the sale provides a true feast for bidders with something for everyone including a number of collections.
The Peter Clark Collection comprises 11 “garage find” bikes all being sold at “no reserve”, including two Triumph T100 Daytona’s, BSA Rocket and three other classics. Peter Clark is of course better known for his collection of Borgward cars.
Included is a Triumph Daytona being sold with no reserve, in garage-find condition, matching numbers, appears mostly original and unrestored.
And from the deceased estate of John Clark, a garage owner near Silverstone, best known for his love of lightweight racers. His collection of four small capacity race bikes including two Honda 125cc race bikes, a Yamaha TZ125 and a Greeves Special.
Part of the John Clark estate, is a rare, water-cooledMT125 Mk4 on offer at No Reserve, presented in complete condition and originally a Jeff Brett motorcycles Honda dealers race series machine, purchased from Barry Hickmott. Alloy tank and hydraulic front brake, complete with parts, CRMC registered in 2004, history file included with manuals, receipts and associated paperwork.
The Livingstone Collection is twenty bikes from a private collection in Scotland including three Velocettes, Indian Scout, Yamaha dirt bikes, a New Imperial and a super cool BSA East Coast Hornet.
The 1937 Indian Scout 500cc is an Iconic '37 machine, restored to a Concours standard, from the private Livingstone collection. Restored to a very high standardIit is in running order. UK registered on a current V5C.
Rare BSA 'Desert Sled' Hornet in need of restoration. Built for the 1960s USA East Coast market for off-roaders. Correct numbers example, shipped to BSA Inc. in New Jersey on 9th June 1965. USA import. East Coast model with mid-mounted exhaust pipes. Part of a private collection. Appears to be unrestored. Still retains its original fiberglass fuel tank. Will need recommissioning or restoring before use
And finally a Monkey Bike Collection of six Honda Z50 Monkey Bikes, all restored and ready to go. Including a prize-winning restored Honda Z50A Monkey Bike, K2 model finished in Candy Red and Silver. Numbers appear correct, restored in the 1990s, and a show winner in 1995.
